Day 2 from London

Wow ... what an amazing day!

After an amazing breakfast with bangers, fried tomatoes, and baked bean we were off to London by train! We took a train and then the subway to meet with a Member of Parliament. He spoke to the students for over an hour about British History, government, political issues, and British way of life. He met us at the prestigious London School of Economics. Following the presentation, we were off to have lunch with King Henry VIII. We kept the girls away from him, fearing he wanted another wife. Then, we went to the amazing Tower of London, followed by a River Thames cruise. Following the cruise, we had dinner at a traditional English pub and then went to the West End to see Love Never Dies, the sequel to Phantom of the Opera. The story picks up ten years later!

The day was amazing! Saying more wouldn’t do the day justice. Simply amazing! We walked all through the streets of London and did more than we ever expected. The weather has been incredible – sunny and in the 90s! Very warm for London!
City tour tomorrow, followed by Warwick Castle, then a night in Birmingham! Will update as much as possible!

Our delegation manager, Lucy, is incredible. She cares so much about the delegates and is going out of her way to make our program the best ever.

Couple notes…
1. Caitlin misses her cat – not cake as mentioned yesterday!
2. Chris lost two pounds today! (We’re not talking weight .. see if you can figure it out!
3. Michelle gets an award for Singer of the Day! On the train back to the hotel, she sang the National Anthem to a full carload of passengers. A British citizen requested God Save the Queen and she actually sang it .. she knew every work!
4. Catherine loves walking in London!!
5. Chase's new British name is Charlie! Our delegation manager is giving all of our delegates British names!

Time for bed ... it's 12:10 AM!
