Arriving in London with eyes half closed,
Delegates asking questions that nobody knows.
Temperatures soared to near 90 degrees,
While the delegates were dressed for the rain and freeze.
Our first adventure on the London Eye,
Was a half hour rotation through the London sky.
Later that day our salmon plate arrived,
And delegates looked at it with suspicious eyes.
Day two began with a trip on the city train,
Half way there we boarded The Tube which was rather insane.
Minding the Gap was a rule to follow,
But being told not to snap pictures was tough to swallow.
Most passengers were silent with stoned still faces,
But our delegates were laughing and changing their places.
Having lunch with King Henry VIII was quite a treat,
But dining in a medieval stoned dungeon was really neat.
The Tower of London and Parliament soon came next,
But of all sites the Crown Jewels were admired the best.
The evening was well suited for Love Never Dies,
The Phantoms dream was never realized.
Christine’s pure voice was angelic for sure,
She didn’t know there was competition for her.
Because back on the Tube another voice arose,
Michelle sang God Save the Queen, which everyone knows.
Others joined in to create quite a fuss,
We had the Brits singing with all of us.
The delegation bonded with friendship driven,
And “Mum” and “Pop” nicknames for us have been given.
Our delegation mission to go forward with understanding and peace,
We hope will be learned and never cease.
Each of us are growing in our own separate ways,
As we put one foot in front of the other and progress through our days!
