Not too long ago in 1998 was something called the Peace Agreement. There were violent outbreaks in the UK. In Ireland there were nationalists and Unionists. They fought long and hard against each other mainly because of religion. The nationalists were Catholics and all they wanted was Ireland to be united, yet not to be part of England. Then there were the Unionists which were. They wanted Northern Ireland, Ireland, and Great Britain to be unified. Eventually the Protestants and the Catholics segregated and lived in separate neighborhoods. The children started to throw stones at each other because their parents influenced them that each others religion was bad. They eventually had to put up a wall between the neighborhoods so they couldn't throw stones at each other. Now, to this day, the wall is still there. It is written on with propaganda and art. The words seem to move towards making peace. I myself read this wall with its many inspiring words. I wrote down this saying: Love and peace minus the hate equals happiness, Keep it that way. This wall tells me a lot. We all need to get along and keep the peace. Violence is outrageous and nobody wins.
